Hydration/Water Intake 🥤💧

Hello everyone! Here’s the first topic! If you follow me on IG/FB, then you’ve already seen this video, but here’s the text!

Most of you that I have on IG are fitness fanatics or are on a health/wellness journey, so I’m constantly seeing water challenges and reminders to stay hydrated, which is wholesome.

Now for those of you on FB, you guys are either family, friends, former coworkers, or meme dealers aka my secondary dopamine source.


Regardless, this is for everyone. You can pour it up or pour it out.


Studies have produced varying recommendations from the classic 8 glasses a day to 15 ½ cups for men and 11 ½ cups for women.

Simple and easy to remember, right? While this isn’t a bad thing, for some people, this may be too much or not enough.


You might have to modify water intake based on a few factors:


Activity level

Environment and Altitude

Overall Health (fever, vomiting or diarrhea, bladder infections)

Pregnancy or breastfeeding


Water isn’t your only source to rely on for your fluid needs. You can also eat your water! For example: watermelon, strawberries, pineapples, cucumbers, celery, green peppers, or my personal favorite, the ice in my margarita.


In addition to this, juices, coffee, sodas and herbal teas can also contribute to your daily water intake. Now, I’m not saying to tap into your inner crack fein and head to Starbucks and get you a venti white mocha frapp with a shot of espresso, because that’s what I would do, but remember this whenever you’re freaking out or feel bad for not solely drinking water. Obviously the “healthier” choices are going to be your better options.


Now, if you are struggling with gulping down water all day, you can always do the fruit infused route or buy water enhancers like Mio or those other powder packets that are out there.


All in all. Drink or EAT your water whenever you can. Before, during and after activities, if you feel thirsty, and with/in between each meal.
